About Octane Capital

Octane Capital is a multi-award winning FinTech property lender based in the heart of trendy Camden. Formed by a team of highly experienced industry professionals in 2017, Octane has become a leader in short-term property lending. By combining entrepreneurial thinking with customer-focused technology, Octane has already lent over £600m.

We offer loans up to 75% LTV on residential and commercial property on terms of up to 5 years. We are launching a new Buy-To-Let product which will be highly competitive and you will be at the forefront of selling.

About the External Business Development Manager (EBDM) role

You will be working in a team that has received industry awards for service excellence (no pressure!). This is something we look for in all applicants and will train you to become even better.  Deals come in thick and fast through the day, so you will be busy making things happen from the minute you start!

Rather than being tied to a desk all day, as an Octane EBDM you will have the freedom to get out of the office and meet with our broker community. You will be given a sales region and a database of broker partners to work with.

You will report into the Sales Director and form a tight knit team, initially focused on the Octane Buy-To-Let offering. Over time, you will be trained on the full Octane range of lending solutions including Bridging, Refurbishment and Developer Exit Loans.

As a career path, we will work with you to be a Senior Business Development Manager who works across everything that we do and structures their own deals. This is a skill that you will learn over time.

Specific duties and main responsibilities

  • Source and win new lending opportunities (target-driven).
  • Meet and evolve our broker network across your allocated region.
  • Build on existing relationships and establish new relationships with brokers.
  • Work with the internal sales and credit teams to issue terms on loans.
  • Manage your pipeline through to completion.

Outline of skills and experience required

  • A degree is preferable but not essential
  • At least 2 years working in field-based sales within financial services.
